Hi Franklin, just wantedto thank you for the booksand cd. Yeah,Ialready have a copy of "Lies"soI'll give it to a friend. Do you know if Necktie Bobalready has a copy? He called me a couple weeks ago and gave me his address (Necktie Bob, if you're out there, please respond).Really enjoyed the books (It's a Conspiracy and Jews for Buchanan), though they also made me mad as hell about the government. I almost feel like giving up and moving to Canada or some other country.

if you haven't subscribed to UNDERNEWS, now's a good time as ever to do so. It's a daily, FREE re-cap of the most interesting stories that long-time independent journalist Sam Smith compiles.I think of it cause there's been some good coverage of the Iran letter and lots of solid stuff on the ongoing massive phone tapping being carried out by the current Administration.Seems like there'll be fireworks at the upcoming confirmation hearing for the new head of the CIA, since as head of the NSA, he seems to have lied to Congress. So, don't forget! Visit: www.prorev.comI think you will enjoy it.

so the President of Iran sends the first official letter to the President of the United States for the first time in something like seventeen years -- and we are not told of its contents? instead Rice and others dismiss it offhand. something smells rancid.

Hey gang -Thanks JAB for playing our music - really inspiring to us! Thanks also for the link to your show.Hack, thanks for the suggestions on radio stations. We'll look into them. And no, we haven't gotten on the ball with Manifest yet, but thank you for the reminder. You can find the link to the Colbert roast on our home page. Thanks to Senyor.JAB, i know this might sound strange coming from me, but i don't equate church-going with lack of intelligence. I do often disagree with some interpretations by some congregations, as reported by the media, of what political choices a life of faith require. But i do know that it's a mixed bag. For instance, the Maryknolls, Catholic Workers, and many others see their life of faith leading them to what many would consider very radical action. And often, the "faithful" have been at the forefront of progressive - and radical - movements. The media reports that there is a growing debate among the evangelicals about the environment. But often, what the media reports is the "man bites dog" kind of thing. So candidate Kerry was receiving communion all over the place, but what got the media's attention was a bishop here and there who said that they would not give him communion. I heard some pretty strong homilies condemning such a stance. I don't know if this helps?

Franklin Stein wrote: "Those voting down the measure included the south-central city of Watertown, where 75 percent of voters disapproved."I live near there and Watertown is a backward ass town chock full of churches. More churches = less intelligence. I still see W bumperstickers there. So, I'm not surprised in the least that they voted this down.

The Colbert thing was brilliant. What's sad though is that it was wasted on the exact people he was skewering because they're too damn dumb to understand the razor sharp satire he launched at them.Yah hey dere, Blowback went over quite well on the last BZT Weekly show. My listeners are really cool and get their dose of DK, Fear & the Circle Jerks on a regular basis, so when they heard you guys a few of them went apeshit. Gotta say, I've never played an entire EP by someone before. But damn did it need to be done. Keep at 'em guys. Cheers!JeffThe BZT Weekly

Don't know what to say about Iran, except that there seem to be many fundamentalists on both sides who actually want to see a nuclear exchange, i.e. the Apocalypse. There are a couple college radio stations in my area that play mucho good music, but unfortuantely no hardcore. One of them, WNCW, has a website -- www.wncw.org -- with simultaneous webcast you can check out to get an idea of what they play. Two years ago the station's listeners voted Steve Earle's "The Revolution Starts Now" album of the year, and last December it was James McMurtry's "We Can't Make It Here Anymore."There is a station in Asheville, WPVM ("Progressive Voice of the Mountains") that carries Air America and also has some punk music programming, but unfortunately their broadcast range is very limited. Still, you might want to contact them. Likewise, both Furman and Clemson have stations that I've never heard (i.e., broadcast only on campus).Did you ever send cd's to Manifest/Earshot?I hear Colbert was guest speaker at the White House correspondents dinner this year. They usually broadcast that on CSPAN, but I haven't seen it yet (no cable). Kinda surreal though, huh? I wonder what he said to Dubious Dubya.
