Don't know what to say about Iran, except that there seem to be many fundamentalists on both sides who actually want to see a nuclear exchange, i.e. the Apocalypse. There are a couple college radio stations in my area that play mucho good music, but unfortuantely no hardcore. One of them, WNCW, has a website -- www.wncw.org -- with simultaneous webcast you can check out to get an idea of what they play. Two years ago the station's listeners voted Steve Earle's "The Revolution Starts Now" album of the year, and last December it was James McMurtry's "We Can't Make It Here Anymore."There is a station in Asheville, WPVM ("Progressive Voice of the Mountains") that carries Air America and also has some punk music programming, but unfortunately their broadcast range is very limited. Still, you might want to contact them. Likewise, both Furman and Clemson have stations that I've never heard (i.e., broadcast only on campus).Did you ever send cd's to Manifest/Earshot?I hear Colbert was guest speaker at the White House correspondents dinner this year. They usually broadcast that on CSPAN, but I haven't seen it yet (no cable). Kinda surreal though, huh? I wonder what he said to Dubious Dubya.
