Good luck with the tour, guys. Any chance of getting some video footage for posterity -- a DVD or another video for the website would be way cool!

Hey y'all. Just thought you'd like to know that, not only is there a band in Denmark called Columbian Neckties (close enough), there's a metal band out in France called, you guessed it, Blowback. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZYNzGCRjQQAnd not to leave the other half of Blowback out of the picture, there's a band in Minneapolis called Rugburn. heh hehBut look on the bright side, Adam Ant's first band way back in 1970 was called "Bazooka Joe". At least we're original. lolps Hi to Hack! (sorry man, lost your address)Necktie Bob

I didn't make your poster for the Portland show. Was it something I said?

Well said, Senor. I like the bumper sticker that says, "Support the Troops: Fire the Commander-in-Chief."Nice flyers, by the way.I watched "Fahrenheit 9/11" on DVD today, first time I'd seen it since it was in theaters (2004). Well worth re-watching. Also, there were some previews for other films, one of which is at:http://www.soundtracktowar.com/Looks like an exploration of what music the troops listen to. From the trailer it appears to be more observation than political stand.

Well its certainly not the first time people have used fake names on this board, or "posed" as someone different than they are, which is fine and all if whomever digs doing it, but ummm what's the point? I suppose it's a way for the passive aggressive to speak out. Which is fine, we respect the opinions of passive aggressive people. That being said, even the title of the video makes it clear it's purely polemical - the "radical left" that poster is railing against is that inhuman, hatable foe that would disparage our military employees. Kindof like terrorists. And, this provides the raison d'etre of certain political camps. But, this does not represent the key point of disagreement, at least from my perspective. Pro/anti war folks are generally arguing about *how* to best "support the troops", not whether or not it should be done. Military personnel have a very hard, dangerous, life threatening job and the decision makers for their organization share none of the risk as the workers. So it's fair to debate the merits of the decision-making and spending that we all pay for -- from the perspective of wanting those lives not to be needlessly endangered -- without being mislabeled as something that fits a purely polarized political definition of the universe.

Well, Imposter-Poster, that was pretty lame, not just stealing my name again but the footage as well. Most of the comments below the video were pretty good though.Being anti-Bush is NOT the same as being anti-American, unless you think America=Bush. Being anti-war is NOT the same as being anti-American, unless you think America=war. Is it really that hard to understand?Do you really want US forces to stay in Iraq for the next 50 years, like in Korea, as Bush is now suggesting? If we haven't found WMD's by now, we're not going to find them 50 years from now. If you want to support the troops, bring them home -- alive, not in bodybags. And if you believe in what you're saying, why not just use your own name? Or at least your own pseudonym, like "Conservative Connie" or something. That is, if you're actually interested in honest debate and not merely in sabotaging others' efforts.

Whatever the truth might be about Ozzfest, System of a Down should charge whatever they feel like charging. One is free to go or not to go.My guess is Ozzfest promoters make a pretty penny too. That's not to say that bands should fleece their fans, but if the fans want to be fleeced...This obviously does not enter into the very real class dimension. Two mitigating actions come to mind:1) maximum ticket price - Fugazi would only play shows where there was a maximum price level.2) occasional free concerts - Aterciopelados do an annual concert in the park.

That article from Foreign Policy in Focus about System of a Down was very cool. Likewise, the movie they've made about the Armenian genocide, "Screamers," looks worthwhile. However, I thought you should know, after posting the link in another forum I visit, I got some feedback along the lines of "rich rock stars, they charged $325,000 PER SHOW to play Ozzfest."http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=66664
