No, I didn't see that, but it doesn't surprise me. There are so many problems with the Warren Commission report / official story, I don't know if anyone believes it anymore. There's a great quote toward the end of that Rolling Stone article along the lines of, there were multiple plots against JFK because he had angered so many powerful interests, but ultimately it required the complicity of certain persons at the highest levels of government to change the parade route, use the open air limousine, reduce the Secret Service detail, etc. I tend to believe that the original plan was for Oswald to be killed the day of the shooting and framed as a Cuban proxy. (A second "Oswald" had tried to obtain a visa from the Cuban embassy in Mexico but been denied.) Then he could have been used to justify an invasion of Cuba. Remember, this was only a year after the missile crisis, and many in the military were convinced there were still some missiles there. However, Oswald killed the policeman sent to kill him and was later captured alive, necessitating his elimination in jail by Jack Ruby. At that point it became more important to portray both men as crazed lone gunmen then to pursue "Cuban" or other conspiracies -- because they might lead to the truth.

HAKA, I don't know if you saw the article i'm about to allude to but a prominent investigator recently challenged the single-bullet theory in the JFK Assassination, pointing out that the analysis that was used (something having to do with metal or lead content) was recently thrown out from the repertoire of the FBI's investigative techniques for being woefully unreliable. There was a story in the last month or so in the Washington Post. I think it said that they were going to re-do part of the investigation, which might lead to a discounting of the single-bullet theory.

More on Howard Hunt/JFK...from Rolling Stone, no less.http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/13893143/the_last_confessions_of_e_howard_hunt/1

Good point about moderating. It's too bad that instead of pointing out whatever flaws are to be found, some will try to use name-calling instead. BTW, i did abandon the "chimp in the white house" and other such monickers, as tempting and appropriate as they might seem, cause they just doesn't really work for me.Don't forget to check out Sam Smith's Progressive Review if you haven't done so. Solid compelling pieces posting badly-needed skepticism about the Obama/Clinton campaigns.

Not I, said the Hacka. Never even tried the stuff. But the imposter has reminded me, this board still needs a registration process. Is that you, Rolo? ---------------------------------Get the Yahoo! toolbar and be alerted to new email wherever you're surfing.

A couple weeks ago former Alaska Senator Mike Gravel criticized the "military-industrial complex" in the Democrats' debate, then Texas Congressman Ron Paul warned of blowback in the Republican one. Is the tide finally turning?http://infowars.com/articles/us/paul_ron_upsets_controlled_media_debate_as_clear_winner.htm

Likewise, it's good to be back in touch. Sorry I was off-line for so long, I couldn't deal with dial-up internet out in the country (best we could do was 23k) and broadband was prohibitive till recently.I'd be happy to play music critic if you guys want to email me demos or something. Just remember I'm not a musician, I can only tell you what I like or dislike, not "how about playing it this way," etc.Wish I could take credit for coining "Faux News" but I've seen it several places, e.g. "This Modern World" comic strip by Tom Tomorrow and the Propaganda Remix project (which I found on the Blowback links page). If you haven't already seen the documentary "Outfoxed," it's definitely worth watching (pretty sure it's on DVD): a revealing look inside the machine.

Yes Hack thanks again for your support. I think you've helped us name one of our tunes. We've been going with "Fox News" but "Faux News" is infinitely better and right on point. Thanks brother!

Hey Hack,Thanks for all the ideas -- much appreciated -- and for astutely pointing out that we are hypocrites for having a myspace page. It seems to be the only way to keep in touch with certain people. I'm not in love with the phone company but we use them too. I will say that we don't go actively hunting people down with mass invites, and reject most of the ones we get because they're garbage. Dischord is an odd scenario because although we all met in DC we're now scattered around, and Dischord specializes in DC artists. Alt. Tentacles would be interesting. If you talk to Jello feel free to pass our info along -- your support is always greatly appreciated!! Vinyl, we would probably continue to release ourselves, like the Lies 7". Hope to get new stuff out the door before too much longer, just need to pick a song since there's quite a few in the hopper. Perhaps we can send you some demos and you can help pick...?
