Merry Christmas everyone from Blowback! That's right, we said the C-word.

Ya see, actually, Jerry Falwell, who invented Christmas, actually hates Blowback so much that he demanded we *not* use the C-word.   But we like it so there.

And, we've got a special Christmas present for all of you and Jerry, a new song from Blowback.  Just a demo, but we think you and he will enjoy it, it's called Bible Belt. Go here to download the MP3, or you can listen to it at myspace.com/blowbackorg.

Listen and enjoy. Feel free to sound off on the Blowback Bulletin Board . We know you will.

Quick update from BLOWBACK land, there is a very cool show on KEXP 90.3 in Seattle called Sonic Reducer, it's on Saturday nights at 9pm-midnight, and they just played our tune "No Nos Moveran" -- a version of the traditional protest song "We Shall Not Be Moved".   You can listen on the web at www.kexp.org -- drop 'em a line here and tell 'em to play some more BLOWBACK!!!

We've added a new MP3 to the music section.   Check out [Black Tar] -- it's from LIES and is one of our favorites.   We haven't posted it before, it's about a certain high school teacher.  Hope you like it.    Go to the MUSIC PAGE to download.

Question: What do U2 and BLOWBACK have in common? A fondness for pints of Guinness on St. Paddy's Day?
Well yes, but more importantly you can now download either band on iTunes.
We were recently added to the iTunes library by our friends at CD Baby. Check it out!

Or look for the LIES album, recently retracked and repressed, now available at www.cdbaby.com and at select stores in DC, New York and Seattle.
Check the music page for more details.

We will be returning to Washington DC at the end of April to work out some new material and possibly play a show.   Stay tuned for more details.

Happy St. Paddy's Day all. Cheers.

Many thanks to WFMU New York as they've played us on few of their shows recently.

Also, look for Blowback LIES reviewed in Punk Planet #65.

If you were in NYC for the RNC, you witnessed some arguably unprecented mass arrest tactics. Over 1,800 protesters were arrested and sent to the "Guantanamo on the Hudson" facility on Pier 57.   Tactics detailed in the New York Times included wrapping large groups of protesters in mesh nets.
